Garage. Country Flag. Aug 26, 2022. #2. Could be a faulty pressure sensor. Try swapping the pressure sensors and see if the full dpf changes banks too. I've known the ecu (VAG not Toyota) to show good values in diagnostic software, whilst also saying dpf full, with a sensor on its way out. Don't have a dpf equipped Toyota, but dpf faults are

Works with all diesel fuels including ULSD, biodiesel and off-road diesel. Regular use of DPF Clean as a DPF cleaner every 5,000 miles tunes-up the fuel, emissions and exhaust system and prevents excessive exhaust regeneration and the CEL light from returning. Our DPF cleaner will not void manufacturer’s new vehicle warranty.
But even a forced regen will not work if soot levels have overwhelmed the DPF. At about 85% soot capacity and above, the DPF will need to be either removed and cleaned or replaced. Be warned—a new filter can cost $5,000 or more. You’ll need to clean the DPF every 150,000 to 300,000 miles to remove accumulated ash.
At 75% loading, the glow plug light will also come on. If you see the warning, go to have the car service or go to the dealer so they can explain the warning lights to you. It's still possible to do a service regeneration, a manually started active DPF regen.
Answered by Honest John. At this sort of mileage the DPF will be getting full of ash so it's probably time to have it cleaned out by the Ceramex process. This costs around £300, which is a lot cheaper than a replacement DPF. A DPF has two cycles: Passive is where the heat of the engine burns off the soot it has collected.
The dpf delete is on the surface the same as replacing the DPF with a new one, the only difference is the material inside has been stripped. The question i suppose is more basic than all of the above. Is DPF initialization the only step you would take when replacing a new DPF, Forget about the delete part. Nov 18, 2020 #4.
Diagnostic Trouble Code DTC P2463 will be set as a result of excessive soot loading in the DPF. The Engine Power Is Reduced message will be displayed. The engine WILL operate in reduced engine power when this occurs. Once this occurs, self cleaning of the DPF is no longer possible and dealer service will be necessary.
